To Friends of River’s Edge Trail
A year end trail update
River’s Edge Trail continued to grow and improve in 2008.
Thanks to Trail Friends like you, RTI was able to pave new trail segments and make system-wide repairs and improvements this year. New signage, irrigation and landscaping, over 120 trees and 2 vault toilets were added. Two bridges were rehabilitated and tons of debris was removed from the river corridor.
With community support RTI was able to help cover cost increases on several large and exciting trail projects which are now under construction or will be in coming months.
Your year end donation will help complete these new segments and leverage grants that will link River’s Edge Trail to more neighborhoods and community destinations and make the trail more functional, beautiful and interesting for residents and visitors.
RTI is working with many agencies and partners to fill the remaining gaps in our trail system while it is still possible. Your financial support will help make the most of time-sensitive and unique opportunities that will enhance our public riverfront for generations.
