| 15 years and counting...on you As we close the books on 15 years of efforts to help assemble the River’s Edge Trail, we thank you and the hundreds of people that have supported us over the years as, bit by bit, the trail has grown into a treasured community asset. We are pleased with what has been accomplished so far and we are hopeful that year 16 will be one of continued progress. The City of Great Falls, the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks, the Montana Department of Transportation and PPL Montana, working with many other partners, have created the River’s Edge Trail. RTI is an all-volunteer 501 c3 non-profit corporation that assists and supports these partners in developing, enhancing, maintaining and promoting the trail. We are asking for your support with a donation again this year so that we can continue to be an important contributing partner in this on-going community effort. You donation to the River’s Edge Trail is tax deductible. RTI can leverage your donation with federal trail grants to maximize your contribution to our riverfront greenway. For each $13.42 of public donations we raise, the federal grants will provide another $86.58 to design and build new key trail segments. Your donation can help us complete a wide variety of trail maintenance, planting, landscaping, weed-control and trail improvement projects next year. We are also looking for special donors to provide trailside benches, tables, shelters and trees, and help provide new trailside interpretive panels and more trailside sculptures. Please contact Doug Wicks at 788-3313 for details. RTI has established an Endowment Fund which allows trail supporters to take advantage of the Montana Endowment Tax Credit. RTI is also set up to accept and manage Charitable Gift Annuities. We encourage you to consider these mechanisms as you help build a world-class trail and greenway system in the Great Falls area.
